Dual AES Inputs to Four Analogue Outputs Converter

The Provideo DAC-204N eurocard converts two AES digital audio streams into four analogue audio outputs, providing a broadcast quality solution to the conversion of digital audio signals to analogue audio. The DAC-204N provides full broadcast quality with the use of 24 bit precision digital to analogue converters. The DAC-204N has dual AES inputs, either an unbalanced 75Ω or balanced 110Ω AES digital audio inputs. Each AES input is selectable between these input standards negating the need for conversion baluns. Dual stereo low impedance balanced outputs are provided for each of the AES inputs. Each output has link selectable gain from 0 dBu to +8 dBu with an independent gain adjustment of ±6 dB for each channel. Link selectable de-emphasis is provided for all channels. Front LEDs indicate on either AES inputs which one of the four standards is being fed to the DAC-204N: 32, 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz are supported. High quality digital to analogue converters are used with 24 bit resolution ensuring excellent low noise and distortion performance. Four-pole analogue filters to each channel ensure that both in and out of band performance is excellent. An impressive 100 dB dynamic range characteristic makes the DAC-204N ideal for broadcast applications.
